client: josh logan

josh's musical style really dictated the design of this site. i've been a fan of his music since i moved back to boston, and between seeing him play live and listening to his recorded tracks i felt that this design captured his style. the hand drawn elements of the site echoed the way he writes new songs in his notebook.

client: max woolf

max woolf is larger than life, simply put. so, max's blog demanded a design that reflected that. by combining photos from his travels and a deep color pallet, i was able to convey the type of person that is max woolf. max's site serves a duel purpose, as his person blog, and as a b2b website to promote his inspirational speaking gigs.

client: boston insurance brokerage

boston insurance brokerage approached me about redesigning their site and bringing it into a modern design. they wanted to have a very professional looking site while also tying in elements to the site that would work back to the printed materials that they were producing for their different products. i designed the site into wordpress so it would be easy to update for their staff

client: next generation insurance

ngi had an existing site that they wanted me to bring up to date design wise, since they were pretty much set with the site layout. i took the existing pieces and gave them all new life as part of a much more modern design. the font change gave the site a much more polished look while also gaining legibility. this site was also fun to code since it had to fit seamlessly into a customized drupal installation.

client: the bc heights

when we first started building out the mobile apps, we needed to develop an overall design that would work across the wide array of student media organizations and their respective brands. we ended up choosing the third design as our template after going though many other options.

client: brown daily herald

along with creating a base design template that could be formed to each student newspaper, new icons had to be created to feature the new content types the apps would display. the design here for the brown daily herald shows some of those new icons in the second screen.

client: notre dame observer

this design for the notre dame observer was one of my favorites. i think the color pallet really works well in this setup, their brand is simple and uses the space well. their brand also created a great news icon in the tab bar at the bottom, the "o" is recognizable while not distracting from the content.

client: blackbook

the blackbook android app was a port of our exsiting iphone app. in the transition however, not all of the elements could be transitioned over to the new operating system. new icons and screens had to be created to accommodate these differences.

client: rate my professors

this design was the first large scale redesign i ever did. rmp was averaging well over 1 million page views a day when mtvu bought the site and asked me to redesign it from head to toe. i did my best to freshen up the design but stay within the preexisting layout.

client: city guides

the city guides are an access network plugin for preexisting site. i was given the task to take wireframes from the product manager and create mockups that would be able to be easily customized for a variety of client websites. i was able to accomplish this with my knowledge of html/css as i worked through the whole design process.

client: network login

for out student newspaper clients there are a variety of different products we offer. we decided that we should unify the login pages as well as maximizing the opportunity communicate to all of the users in one space. the right hand rail gave us a place to provide our users with useful information and service updates.

client: college media network

when college media network was purchased by the access network the exsiting cmn site needed to be updated. this site design was a merger of the current tanc site, but modifed to speak to a different audience.
